What is WMS? 

A warehouse management system (WMS) is a software used to manage operations in a warehouse including inventory management, picking processes, reporting, and auditing. WMS software can both be on premise or cloud based.

 

The supply chain starts when items are ordered from suppliers. The WMS is used to track each item’s journey through your ecosystem as it is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped.

 

Optimisation of picking and replenishment routes, together with the tracking function in a WMS, thus increasing the efficiency of the supply chain.

WMS delivers real-time visibility to user regarding the warehouse status ranging from inbound and outbound processes to inventory management.
